As Creative Director at Addavia, Daria Petrillo led the development of the captivating concept for renowned Michelin-starred chef Rául Resino as “The Fisherman Cook.” This project, created through deep creative collaboration, culminated in a documentary showcased at the prestigious “Madrid Fusion” Spanish food fair, highlighting Rául’s unique culinary journey.

Rául’s dual identity as both a fisherman and a chef has earned him widespread recognition, including a prestigious Michelin Star and 2 Soles from the Repsol Guide. His profound relationship with the sea and commitment to sustainable fishing practices distinguish him in the culinary world. The storytelling around his persona, shaped by Daria Petrillo and her team, attracted national attention, with National Geographic and El País both featuring Rául. His title, ‘El Chef Pescador’ (The Fisherman Chef), has since become synonymous with his distinctive cooking approach and unwavering connection to the sea.

Daria accompanied Rául on his fishing expeditions, documenting every step of the process, from the sea to his Michelin-starred kitchen. She captured Rául working alongside fellow fishermen, documenting his use of rare, often overlooked seafood—fish typically discarded or reserved solely for the fishermen’s tables. The transformation of these ingredients into extraordinary dishes formed the heart of the narrative, spotlighting Rául’s deep connection to the ocean and his innovative culinary techniques.
